Did Art's Cyclery sell me a defective brake set?

Bought a Ciamillia Negative GSL brake set from Art's Cyclery. While looking at the front brakes, I notice that there was no way to attach the brake cable. Did Art's Cyclery sell me a defective brake set?

I'd be more worried about stopping without brake pads!!!

Seriously, have you contacted them? I'd give them a chance to make things right.

Did Art's Cyclery sell me a defective brake set?

The brake pad holders came in a separate bag.

If you look at the front brakes, pictured on the left, the arm where you would normally attach the cable appears missing. Also there was no documentation in the box. I never bought Ciamillo brakes before, and don't know if documentation is included. The Ciamillo website also had little documentation.

From searching the web, and comparing pictures, the front brake just looks wrong. I just wanted to know if anyone has these brakes and can tell me if they are defective, before I contact Art's.

If it isn't somehow detached somehow and rolling around in the box it came in, it's definitely missing. No idea why you don't just give them a call to take care of it.

exactly.............not sure why people come here to air things out before giving the seller a chance to rectify the situation. So who's more qualified to inform you whether or not your product is defective? Would it be A) the co. that actually made the part or B) a loose gathering of internet 'experts' on an anonymous forum? (not to mention members who want to inflame the situation and give you bad info for the sake of entertainment.)

And if there is nothing wrong with your component you risk looking like a fool or a Troll by coming here.

The brakes have been dropped off at the shipper to send back to the seller for a refund.
