Has anyone used this site before?
They have something I want, but I have no idea about the reliability and credibility of this shop.

Yes, I have used them a few times. The site does look a bit dodgy but they have been great! BTW I'm in Australia and postage was always pretty quick. Go for it, they have great prices, especially on French brands.

I've used them several times over the years-- if probikekit has it, it's usually cheaper because of the free shipping, but they're reliable. Sometimes a bit slow. I've even returned one item without issue and when I had my time iclic cleats break (I purchased the pedals from them), they sent me a new pair under warranty, no questions asked.

Awesome! Merci Beaucoup! lol..
Just ordered a set of Sidi shoes from them. Genius 6.6 Mega for $250!
PBK didn't have my size, it was pretty hard to find Megas in 43 anywhere for a good price for some reason.

Ordered bunch of stuff over the past few years, never had to pay customs. Only time was with another seller when ordered a full bike worth >$6k, then 5.5% (1/2 of standard tariff since coming from a favored nation). Seems US customs has some floor amount that I thought was ~$850, but just ordered/received a set of wheels from xxcycle that cost $960 and no duty either.
Yet, had a problem with the wheels...ordered Shamal 2012 2 way fit, received Shamal 2012 standard clincher. xxcycle offered to pay shipping to return and then send correct pair. I countered with rather just get a price adjustment equal to the shipping charges rather than to ship the wheels back and wait for another set to be sent . xxcycle has failed to respond even after a second attempt to contact them. In the past they've been good about responding.

Duty has nothing to do with value. It realates to classification of the items and to some extent the shipper. Most stuff shipped via standard post will not face duty. Most things shipped with a private carrier (FedEx, UPS, DHL or similar) will get hit with duty as the private carriers use the fee that they collect as a profit center.
I regularly place foreign orderers in excess of $1,500 and rarely get charged duty. When I have been charged I successfuly appealled as it was mis-classified.

That sucks, I would ring them directly and politely ask if they speak English (I'm sure they do, it's just nice to ask unless you speak French) I would imagine you will a have more immediate response that way. +33 (0)5 82 95 04 63 they are in Toulouse so check what time they open.

I have used xxcycle. No problems, fairly fast shipping to Canada. Excellent prices on Vittoria and Veloflex tubulars.

Awesome! Do they have Motobecane?

You know that Motobecane the brand is now owned by BikesDirect.com, right? The French marquee no longer exists.

The website is crap and the products look like chinese knock offs not genuine....anyone else have a view?
BTW XXCYCLE.COM is very good to deal with. My two new Look carbon bottle cages and 3 bottles arrived in a week and the price was at least 20% less than I could find elsewhere - including ebay prices.
Not always the cheapest on all items but there is no one online seller to use - you need to shop around.

My statement was more of a joke. I remember when I was about 10 the neighbor had a 10 speed. He proudly proclaimed "It's a Motobecane!" He was very proud of it.
Now Motobecane is a BikesDirect brand, and from what I understand BD is the butt of lots of jokes.

I retract my statements
xxcycle.com is a great place to do business. Upon reflection, my previous blogs were in error and if I knew how to retract/delete them I would. I bought a $500 pair of shoes for $272! A price that included shipping. I believe the shoes arrived within a couple of weeks.

Wouldn't use them again until they fix this error!
How on earth could you mistake 222 EUR for 181 USD?
It is not their fault at all.

That's about the price show on the site. My mistake for not following up on the bill. The exchange rate, today is 1 Euro = $1.30 so the price today would be $289.11
The order was place on July 10th, 2012
(0.81620 USD EUR rate for 7/10/2012) exchange-rates.org
You are doing the math wrong. That exchange rate you looked up is saying $1USD = 0.8162 Euros. You can't just multiply the 0.8162 by the number of Euros, you must convert the units. (1USD/0.8162Euros)*222Euros = ~$272USD.

I've made several orders from them over the last year with no problems. I've paid the extra for the expedited shipping and gotten my stuff to Colorado in a week or less each time.
