    Wool jersey/trainer alternatives...

I bought some cycling-esque sweaters at the Gap that I will be wearing for my winter or night time commutes. Some of it is very Rivendell looking.

These long sleeve wool or wool blends are great for riding IMO. Not bad for $17-$40 considering how much cycling jerseys cost and how much those merino wool jerseys over at vintagevelos can cost.

Sizes are limited though because these are sale items. I found mine in the sale/clearance section of the Gap store near my house, but they're avail online too...

Merino wool long sleeve zip up for $25:

Striped wool/cotton/silk blend zip up high collar for $17:

Maroon lambwools zip up high collar for $25:

Rivendell looking lambswool button up high collar for $40:

I also found some rideable sweaters at Fossil as well. Bought a couple of these:

Lambswool/acryllic zip up. I rode with this on last nite and it was great. Kept me warm enough yet still allowed in a little breeze to cool. Pictures showed unzipped, but when zipped up, it's a narrow athletic fit. $30

I've got that one too. It's good evening or morning ride sweater.
