What do you know about this? Do you know anyone who has tried it?
New-agey hippie crystal BS?
Inquiring minds want to know. It has turned up in three different things I have read recently, and being in the sore back club and all, I am curious.
I haven't heard of it, but after using the Google, it sounds interesting. Not too new agey...I'd give it a try.
It's all fun and games until someone ends up in a cone.
Don't make me go all honey badger on your ass
Yeah, I'd give this a try. My babie whale in the full sized living room aquarium is wearing on me. Not to mention ruining the wood floors.
On a serious note, the "sore back club" can be an array of issues non-related to a spine. I've had friends with jaw misalignment to skeletal malproportioned tidbits [length of legs, hip offsets etc] which were the culprit. Then there's the bad bedding and those that just do not sit straight up or are poor postured that ding the liberty bell too. Have you every been to a good chiropractor?
Try a book by John E. Sarno MD, "Healing Back Pain". Kinda new age-y, but touches on a lot of the same principles as the Alexander technique. Heard about it on Howard Stern years ago (I go to Stern for all my medical advice). It changed my life. I'm rehabbing a couple of fractured vertebrae now and use a lot of the stuff from the Sarno book. It's working. Not as fast as I'd like but I'm back on my bike.
Good luck with whatever you do.

I don't personally use it, but you can't argue with Wick's results!

No, but I have been to the physical therapist a few times. When I am good about stretching & etc, I feel better.
