Looks like there is something to report today. Any guesses?

That would be good. Perhaps a giant face like the one that was in the Mission to Mars with Gary Sinese.

These "Big Announcements" about Mars have been pretty unexciting thus far.

"We found a really cool rock! This rock indicates that at some point in the distant past, water may have flowed here!"

That'd be epic if they trolled flat-earthers by opening the announcement with that.... Followed by "just kidding, no one's that stupid".

    I think that IS exciting.

My guess/hope is that they found evidence of bacterial life.

No discovery of life. We're still the dumbest living organisms in the solar system.

Pretty disappointing... some 3 billion year old organic (maybe) material and some methane? That's it? Call me when they find E.T. or one of the acid-blood creatures from the Alien movies. That would be real news

lot of jaded or simply science-challenged types here...the news today is very interesting.

the seasonal methane fluctuations are quite unusual.

We did. It's name is Ann Coulter.

    .
Monkhouse: I want to go like my Dad did Ė peacefully, in his sleep, not screaming in terror like his passengers.

System: Fake news?? Trump's a Fake President, for God's sake.

Plat: I'd rather fellate a syphilitic goat than own a Cervelo.

Homer: I believe that children are our future. Unless we stop them now.

Seam: Saw Bjork poop onstage back in the day. It blew my teenage mind.

I dunno. Neptune is made of methane. Jupiter and Saturn have moons that host frozen-methane-spewing volcanoes. Pluto has deserts covered in dunes made up of "sand" that is granular frozen methane. And the list goes on.

One might reasonably conclude that the solar system was farted out of The Great Cow, a deity which many of us believe created the entire universe.

To date, philosophers have merely interpreted the world in various ways. The point however is to change it.
