    Drug addict sells $800 Cannondale for $5

    This story has little to do with cycling. I just thought it was interesting that they included the tidbit about the bike. Probably stolen by the addict just so he could get his fix. Plot to kill Asbury Park police officer leads to 3 drug arrests |

    I'm pretty sure that's what most bikes are stolen for. The DC area actually has a FB page specifically for people to post up info about their stolen bikes so others can be on the lookout. There are multiple posts a day. The ones that get found are usually on Craigslist or LetGo or one of the other new 'for sale' apps and are listed for maybe 10% of their actual cost with a very vague description. "Red Cervelo racing bike, great condition - $120"
