This is going to be a good summer
So, I offered to mow my neighbor's lawn, no $$, just trying to help them out since they are an older couple and I could see that he was struggling a bit with the effort. My neighbors offered $$ but I politely turned them down.......I did however joke that they could, on occasion, pass along a "cold one" for my effort and thought nothing of it. This started late last summer and now, when I finish mowing their yard, the neighbors greet me at the end of the driveway with a smile and a chilled 12 pack of Michelob. (I usually drink Keystone) At first I refused, but they insisted. Yes!

Why?
One of the better kinds of beer is free.

Maybe you can trade the beer to another neighbor for better stuff- offer 3:1, and I'm sure you''ll find a taker.

He usually drinks keystone.
Having his neighbor piss in his shoes and then kick him in the junk would be better than drinking keystone.

And cold even, after mowing a lawn.

I would certainly want to poast in the Lounge on my Michelob score if I was Keystone guy.
I wouldn't trade 12:1 for a real beer., however, if you have a slug problem, you found the solution.

How long does the mowing take you? How long to drink the 12pk? Good samaritan, good neighbor.

So, years ago Michelob came in an unusually shaped bottle. I thought it was pretty good, actually. A long time later I tried one again, after they started to use a more normal long neck bottle. Thought "meh". Did the recipe change too?
And I'm a beer fan, not snob. Schlitz currently can be found in my fridge. It *tastes* like beer. Mmmmm...

probably just another casualty of the whole inbev thing.

He has to work his way into real beer. You can't just leap from Keystone to cask ales and IPAs. So Michelob is a good first step. After a few of those, maybe he could work his way up to something like a Sam Adams. Baby steps, ya know.
