The greatest trick the devil ever pulled...

    Et tu, Kevin Spacey?

Though, I do find myself wondering what happened to the presumption of innocence. Is issuing an apology if you did something the same as a confession?

It seems like the allegations alone are proving enough to bring about lasting consequences.

Being impulsive and brash by nature, humans value drama over demonstrable truth. These days with the “listen and believe” culture the accusation is the evidence. What a lot of public figures like Kevin Spacey don’t understand is that preemptive apologies—even when no wrong was committed—serve to exacerbate the situation rather than contain it. Once you apologize your detractors just find more reasons to crucify you. The few intelligent celebrities know that the only proper response to allegations of impropriety—true or otherwise—is to keep quiet and let their lawyers handle any potential defamation cases.

I'm sorry, I was probably drunk and, oh yeah, I'm gay.

Seems Corey Feldman is also on the loose as the accuser.

Some of these guys are simply odd and way out there, which goes along with the actor/artist territory.

Yeah. I posted here specifically to avoid having it morph into a discussion of political innocence or guilt. I guess we’ll see how it goes.
