How long's it been since you had an 80's music flashback?

    Well friend, that's too long.

Why don't I remember the 80s??? Oh yeah, grad school...Boulder....Berkeley....
"When it shall be said in any country in the world, my poor are happy; neither ignorance nor distress is to be found among them; my jails are empty of prisoners, my streets of beggars; the aged are not in want, the taxes are not oppressive; the rational world is my friend, because I am the friend of its happiness: when these things can be said, then may that country boast its constitution and its government." -Thomas Paine

    London Calling

Although it was released in 1979, this album is always on my iPod.

Afraid the newest music in my collection is some Dire Straits from the late 70's. My main memory of the 80's is of how utterly ghastly the music was!

What was great about the 80's is how music took off in many directions. Some good and some very bad. This was a good direction....

I guess this one was from '79 but I always considered it one of the great songs of the 80's. One of the very early music videos that appeared with popularity on MTV...

Yeah, 1979 was a great year for 80's music!

The 80's also introduced us to this great talent that left us all too soon ...
