I saw Quantum of Solace this weekend

I have not been to a movie theater since mebee 2000? when the last Bond movie came out. Just not a big movie person, it never makes the to do list. This weekend i had about 1/2 of a day to waste, either in the hotel room watching college football or something else.

The movie is big on action, small on gadgetry, plot was a little muddy, sort of hard to keep my train of thought engaged.

i thought it was pretty violent, understandable for the story line, but
a bit too cold and unemotional with the killing. i considered taking
my 12yr old, but have decided not to now.

QoS can be summed up in two words: Chase Scenes.

Boat chase, airplane chases, foot chases, car chases. Now, if they could only get one going on in space....

I thought it was good. In the top 5 of all the Bond flicks. Casino Royale ranks #1 in my book. This one was not quite as good as the last one. I love the complete lack of corny gadgetry.

If you liked Casino Royale, you'll like this QoS, just not as much.

Love the car and the main girl. Good movie.
I might also add, good choice for the newest Bond.

I haven't seen it yet--- but it is interesting how both Batman and Bond have gone through periods of total camp--- and now they are both hitting huge successes trying to be brutally "real" (relative to the assorted suspension of disbelief required to be parked upon entering the theater in the first place for action movies).

+1. Best Bond so far, IMO.

I liked him as Bond too, but I didn't like the lack of an evil henchman and any cool gadgets at all.
