    I will ride faster tomorrow

New hoops means faster ride...right? I feel at least a 15% increase in speed is due my way because of the new wheels. Nothing else to see here.

With people like Peter P. around, I am done posting on this website. Mean people have driven me off after 9 plus years. Good luck newbies beware.

And you have good taste in components too!

Dumb question: Is that valve stem juuuust long enough or more than long enough? It kind of looks too short.

The only way you will ride faster is if you paint yourself red. Duh. It's science.

Now, your bike will ride faster if it is red, of course, but that really has nothing to do with you. HTH.

I use a Lezyne floor pump that threads onto the valve stem. It is right at the minimum to get a pump my pump on it. I would be screwed if I had to use a different pump. The spares I carry in my bag are 80mm valve stems so there wont be issues on the road in the event of mishap.

Cool wheels spooky! I was drooling over the Assaults myself. Didn't "pull the trigger" though... at least, not yet.
Dang- that valve is short. I thought I had problems w/ my wheels and tubes. (I employ the same "road fix" as you).

Well I am not sure if I rode any faster, but I did manage to get lost and my 50 mile ride turned into 62 miles. So they are 20% longer than my old wheels if nothing else. They make an insanely cool carbon wheel sound with the latex tube in there. Ran the same tire pressure as my old wheels and it was a bit stiffer. Might drop the PSI down five or so.
