I wouldn't do it. If you look really closely you can see that the seat is too high.

There are probably a lot of people here, who don't get that joke. Probably most under 40.

Nice play on words. I assume you're picking up an RC version? That's a classy plane.

About a year ago, my daughter and I took a flight on one of the few surviving Ford Trimotors at the EAA air museum in Oshkosh. Exposed bellcranks and control cables, corrugated skin, and three big old radials... the sound of those engines banging away is just awesome. Thanks for rekindling the memory. Hope you enjoy your new bird!

    Correctamundo.

Nonetheless, I'm 34 and would've gotten this joke from like age 7 on. I was in the 99.9th percentile of airplane-geeky kids. The Air Force Base museum in Dayton, Oh, was (and still is) my most favoritest museum ever.

    Meh, I'd rather have a G1.

Those Fokkers were good looking airplanes.

    Junker airplane

Do we really want to put "junker" and "airplane" in the same sentence?

I used to live near a famous Battle of Britain airfield. One year there was a flypast with a Ju-52 (the transport pictured in this thread), a Spitfire and IIRC a Lancaster bomber as well. It was pretty surreal being in the garden and seeing (and hearing) those amazing aircraft. If only there were still a few more Bf-109s in flying condition; according to Wikipedia only two remain that are flightworthy.
