Last night moonrise pic over La Jolla 3-3-11

Shot this as I was heading back after dinner... pretty strange. Used my new Nex5 with an old manual Minolta 50mm f/1.4 lens...

Very nice. I love the tones of the sky.

    where did you shoot from

and what are you looking at? I live in town and I'm having a hard time figuring where in La Jolla that is unless you are looking back at Shores from the cove.
Beach and Tennis Club on the right?

Shot was taken from the cove....correcto.. Just south of Deadman's.. I was in a rush and didn't have my wide angle lens. Bummer, because the shot does not show the full effect. Over to the left, the sky was nearly all white...

The pic shows LJ Shores. Just to north would be UCSD/Scripps Pier/Blacks Beach. I have never seen the sky like this before in LJ.

Kinda looks like the Northern Lights w/o the motion..

Hey..do you ride with Swamis or SDBC or anyone out here? I have seen a couple of guys kitted up with the latest Lownge Kit during my coastal rides. I have worn mine a couple of times...love it.

Used to do the Celo ride and do the donut ride in Coronado. Would like to know who else in SD is sporting the kit
