    Lunar Eclipse

Anyone setting their alarm and watching the show?

It is happening on the winter soltice so this could mean the end of the world.

I'v had this on my calendar for months but I don't think the weather is going to cooperate. Forecast is all clouds, I'm going to get up anyways hoping for a break in the clouds.

For those of you curious, last night wasn't the winter soltice.

I set the alarm at 330am to rise and see a beautiful fool moon.

Same here. I've been waiting for this, but it looks like it will be too overcast to see anything.

Which is a shame since the eclipse falls on Winter Solstice.

And so, since we probably won't be able to see it, here is my artist's rendering of what it should look like:

    Lunar Eclipse-sataneclipse.jpg

I will be up anyway, imploring Baal Zebb for a bountiful harvest and good cycling weather for next year.

    Thanks!

Many crayons and other art things, yes. I'd like to think that my grasp on art technique is every bit as sound as my knowledge of theology and astronomy.

If you don't have a firearm, keep an axe or some other hand weapon by your bed tonight. No telling what's going to happen. If you see people aimlessly shambling around tomorrow morning, if people are being randomly attacked, and/or hear a bunch of weird news reports, get out of town immediately and head for the hills. If you're in a rural area, don't go into the city, even for loved ones... they'll already dead. The End Times are nigh.

It is going to be clear and cold tonight. Since I got up last night for a false alarm, I think I will get out the tripod and take some pictures.

It is clear to me that Faffnir the wolf will steal the moon from the sky. This portends a great time of plunder for my tribe.

    All hail Odin.

Sadly, the only eclipse I'll be witnessing is my driveway being eclipsed by the 8" of snow bearing down on us as I write.

What's a shovel? Now a 28" blower with chains is more like it. We come equipped up here in the great white. This will be a piece of cake compared to the 22" we got just over a week ago. More concerned driving 100 miles each way to pick up my kids from the airport tonight.

Before I inevitably fall to the undead horde, I'm going to put on full body armor, especially around my head. That way, when I come back to life, I will be an unstoppable flesh eating machine!

Maybe my other thread was an omen. A picture of a pair of matching hearts. It has to be linked to the impending event.
