I'm afraid of getting some horrible disease or injury that confines me to complete dependence on others for the rest of my life.

    Among other things....

In general, things that will likely never affect them and not nearly scared enough of the things that are likely to do so.

I've always been scared of bees and large bugs. I live in southern Arizona because I'm a masochist.

I stay positive 99% of the time for the future of my children but that 1% is my worst fear.
That and being old and alone forgotten about left to rot and die in a horrible nursing home.

    ... and Understanding!

"When the spirits are low, when the day appears dark, when work becomes monotonous, when hope hardly seems worth having, just mount a bicycle and go out for a spin down the road, without thought on anything but the ride you are taking."

I quoted this on FB yesterday--one of the guys on the Classic Rendezvous list posted this, and it knocked me out:

"My 94 year old friend has decided that he is unlikely to ride his lightweights any more, though he does still use his wife's bike for shopping, and has asked me to sell some of his parts for him."
There's something to shoot for! May we all be so lucky.
