Got my cat's name after watching the gf eat a Luna bar. Luna is feminine I guess.

My first pet will be names Scipio Africanus.

Have a cat? I always thought that Emperor Nero was a great name for a cat.
Our cat was named Alexander after the Great.
I expected the Rocky Mountains to be a little rockier than this.

I was thinking the same thing. That John Denver's full of $hit, man.

I would suggest Sora, except a few months later you'll want to return her and get a whippet named Tiagra or a greyhound named One-oh-five.

Name it "No No Bad Dog!"

I think pet names should be one or two syllables so they are easy to yell and very distinct from normal human chatter.

I've always been a fan of gerunds and briefly, at the suggestion of a friend, considered naming my dog, Eating, Sleeping or Sh!tting.

Cycling related? How about Pedaling? Hammering? Doping? Bonking?

no cycling related name for my female golden retriever, which ironically, I picked up around the same date of the thread. I'll post pics when I get home, of my dog, whom I did name before hand, Daisy.... though afterwards, I do occassionally attach "Crazy" to her name

I had a cocker spaniel named Mikuni. You moto-heads will appreciate that.

People said it was a pretty name.

I had dog named D.O.G. also had dog named B.A.R.K. back in high school. No meaning behind the letters,

I like the name Bianchi or name them after the city it was born in?
