Photos from a Series: A Photo Series.
Over the past few months I've taken the moto on some great road trips, and photographed things along the way.
I'm working on a few different series. This one was supposed to be the Los Padres National Forest series, but it turns out a bunch of them are from the outskirts of the forest proper. And by outskirts, I mean within 150 miles or so.
Actually, every photo in this series took place on a trip that took me through the forest, which I guess is why I lumped them together.
I've posted some of these in random threads over the last few months. Feel free to ask for those not to load.
I'm currently working on a couple other motorcycle facilitated photo series:
• Shots from the Santa Monica Mountains
• Shots from my Trips to the Gas Station

Highway 33, in Los Padres National Forest.

I posted this before. I believe I called it the Stanley Kubrick tree,
on account of its phallic nature. I stand by that. Not code.

Yup. Posted this before, too.

Ok, so these first shots were part of a road trip, the report of which I previously posted.

One of my personal favorites. I submitted it to 1x and was de-nied. I can see why , I guess, but I still like it.

Posted in a different thread.

Finally some new material. This is in "Heritage Valley," between Santa Paula and Fillmore.

On a family drive to see the snow.

Same drive.

Rose Valley Falls.

Somewhere near Palmdale, after a failed trip to Gorman to see wildflowers.

The beautiful Maricopa, a few miles north of the northern tip of Hwy 33.

Waaay later that same day, after getting a late dinner in Mojave.

Back at Rose Valley Falls. |

When you share these kind of collections you make me wish I spent more time just looking at things.

1) I like 'em.
2) Get a tilt/shift lens, it would be right up your alley (photographically speaking).

Excellent as usual Roe. Love your compositional style and add your PP skillz and you always deliver.

I fantasize about the 24mm tilt shift, but it's soooo much $$$.

The tree w/ the curvy gravel road is the clear winner. Great stuff!

I can't wait for the gas station trips series.
Nice shots, doc. I always watch for your threads, even if there were a bunch of repeats.
Move along...nothing to see here.

Thanks, baby.
I'm totally enjoying the scooter, but holy damn tires are expensive. Guess I had race ones on there before ... they ride great but only lasted about 7000 miles. Now I've got Michelin Road 3 tires on it. I hate them and hate how the bike handles, but they should last a lot longer and my mileage is way up.

That's Cerro Noroeste Rd. before it winds down and hits Hwy 33.

P&S Help
Is there a cheap (sub $100), small (fit in jersey pocket) P&S camera out there that you can adjust the F- Stop so I can set the depth of field manually?
