Playoff Hockey Thread
I won't make any predictions myself. I don't know the other teams well enough. I like the Blackhawks matchup with the #3 Phoenix Coyotes. However, they beat us 3-1 in our 4 games this year. Kane should be back for the playoffs.
I expected the Rocky Mountains to be a little rockier than this.
I was thinking the same thing. That John Denver's full of $hit, man.

My LA Kings collapsed down the stretch, plummetting to the eighth spot. No mattah Canucks or Blackhawks, they'd get drummed out quickly by either. I pick Vancouver to take the cup.

It will be good to start watching hockey again. Amazing, I used to play it all winter, now i only watch it in summer, or almost summer.
Nothing like a hockey game when it is 80 degrees outside.

If Pittsburgh can make it out of the first round & the Kid can stay healthy, I'll hitch my wagon to the Pens.
As long as the Bruins or Canucks don't win, I'll be fine....

Its going to be a fight but as long as our goalie Mr. Universe can keep it together and if the Rangers get knocked out we have a good shot..

Red Wings have made the playoffs for 22 straight seasons...that's an all-time record for all North American sports, isn't it?
Sad part is, they probably won't make it past the second round.

Okay, I'll play.
Vancouver > Kings. LA's defense and Quick might make it a long series though....
St. Louis > Sharx. Youth>Experience?
Phoenix > Chicago. If Mike Smith can hold off the Hawks for however many games...
Detroit > Nashville. Tough call. Regular season games were even matches....
Rangers > Senators. Lotta scoring in this one. Unfortunately....
Boston > Capitals. If the Bruins can keep #8 out of the net: Yawner.
Florida > Debles. Florida is hot, NJ is not.
Philadelphia > Pittsburg. The Penguins have a ton'a'talent, but they have made me a Flyers fan this year. Too bad this is a 1st round matchup.

Haha. Poor Sharks. Maybe they're finally 'heating up' at the right time. I doubt it, but one can hope. I'd love to see San Jose make the finals. Would be awesome.
I haven't watched enough hockey this season to be able to make any predictions, but... two Sedins, no Cup.

The Pens-Flyers matchup will be fun. Lots of love lost between the two teams. It will be interesting to see who loses their bearing first and just starts getting frustrated. Hopefully the Pens can figure out how to beat the Flyers more than once at home, or else we'll be done early.

Nope, it isn't even the longest in the NHL. The Bruins had a 29 season run. And the Blues had 25 I think.

My Flyers have the Pens in the first series and hopefully they beat them.
The season ended well with me winning a beat from the office Debil fan. Whose team ended up with more points, the Flyers had one more point. I came into work this morning singing "One is the loneliest number"

Well it starts tomorrow night and I'll be watchin the Flyers/Pens game for sure. No playoff beard for me but that doesn't subdue the playoff passion. My wife can hardly wait, haha.

coming in as underdogs for the first time in a long time, they might have something to prove. They have the talent, so it's just a matter of putting it to use. They could either surprise a lot of people or pull an epic fail. But then again, so could every team that's in the 2nd season.
