    Wow, I actually enjoy some of the bands/songs on this thread.....There was however, this song by STYX....late 80s...cant remember the name and thank goodness....slow, sappy...just awful. blaaa
    So I tuned the Larrivee, drop D, then DADGAD.

    I kinda agree with you. I have weird nostalgia for a lot of these songs that I didn;t like at the time. Even Styx I despised in the 80s, but now I don't mind them at all. I think it comes with codger disease maybe.

    but anything heavily overplayed in the last 25 years is what I do not want to hear. For me, broadcast radio or SiriusXM is entirely unlistenable. I might enjoy a new tune on the radio by almost anyone, but by the third playing - GTFO. It's only the teenage mind that can withstand replay after replay I think.

    I have like 2500 mp3/AACs in my digital stored. I do not want to listen to any one of them. Heard em too much. I prefer discovering huge playlists on Spotify that are 100% new to me. And I like 1980s tunes I haven't heard in 30 years.

    most hated unlistenable of all is always going to be Country music for me
