I had some ancient Specialized gloves that I tore last weekend in Mt Shasta, thought they'd last forever....to be honest I haven't even looked around at the current offerings but figured I'd get a starting point here

Myself and number of friends switched to these a little over a year ago. The most comfortable gloves I have ever worn. Pearl Izumi P.R.O. Pittards Gel Glove

I wear Craft or like Brick Tamland, I wear nothing at all.
You'd be better off with a netbook, they do everything better.

    The perfect combo:

High quality leather bar tape with a layer of thin cork underneath + gloves with minimal padding.

    Don't get anything with gel.

Rapha for the win. If you can cope with the upkeep, you'll never wear a better glove.

A mechanic's or carpenter's glove from Sears. Does the same job, has the same padding, and at a very reasonable $10 a pair when they're on sale.

I ain't spending 160 bucks on gloves. For that price they had better give me a happy ending during/after each ride...wait, exactly how soft is that African Hair Sheep leather?

wrong, if they are African Hair Sheep leather they have the potential to open up an entirely new dimension to one's riding

Chicks dig me, because I rarely wear underwear and when I do it's usually something unusual.
