see you on the darkside of the moon (lunar eclipse) <duh>

A total lunar eclipse will take place on Thursday morning, February 21, 2008 (Wednesday evening, February 20 for the Americas). It's the first of two lunar eclipses in 2008, and the only total eclipse. The next total lunar eclipse will not occur until December 21, 2010.

It will be visible in the eastern evening sky on February 20 from all of North and South America, and in the February 21 predawn western sky from most of Africa and Europe.

    Taurus:

Friendships and love relationships are favored as you are openly affectionate, warm, and also quite responsive to loving gestures from others. It's not enough for you to simply feel loving toward another - at this time you really want to express it and show it physically. An opportunity for a new romance or friendship is likely to surface now and work out quite nicely for you.

There is no dark side of the moon, really. As a matter of fact, it's ALL dark.

No, it's just an inexpensive model with no way to hook up the camera. I'll see what I can do with the camera, but it's not a DSLR, just a Canon ELPH SD600.

I have been. It cleared up nicely just in time. I've been trying to get some pics of it but it's windy and my tripod isn't handling the wind and the 300mm all that well.

Holy shat! What kind of lense were you using? All I got was a whitish blob in the sky!

LOL! That's a full sized crop. It's a whitish blob in the full shot.

The lens is a 300mm on a 1.6 crop factor frame.

It cleared up nicely here. Fell asleep, then remembered about the eclipse when I was walking the dog. Looks good. I took some pics, but I doubt they'll look anything like these. Nice shots guys.
