    Solar flares ignite Northern Lights

    The solar flares casued a pretty impressive Northern Lights show...

    I haven't seen them in quite a while (other than pictures)...but when I lived in Alaska we saw them on a regular basis...pretty awesome to see in person though

    It would have been nice to be up there with clear skies last night...I'm sure they were out in full force.

    seeing the Northern Lights is on my BucketList....that Iceland shot is surreal

    miss those things...saw them a lot working in Alaska late into the summers.
