    Tip of the hat.

So I was hearing a noise, or should I say several different noises from what appeared to be the front end of my Waterford. A chirp, a click a rythmic scraping souund. It was subtle yet annoying. (given the state of my hearing and this stage of the game, it may well have been loud enough to wake the dead). I spent hours trying to isolate it and last Monday, I believed, I isolated it. Front wheel! Ut oh..... I pulled it and in the silence of the shop realized that the bearings were rough. I researched for hours trying to figure out HOW THE HE|| they came out. Believe it or not, there was one and ONLY one video on the process! (Campagnolo Khamsin)

The bearings were a common size. I called Boca Bearings and they were incredibly helpful in steering me to the correct bearing and in 2 days I had them in my hot little paws and in the wheel.

On my test ride, (around the block (7.5 miles with 500 feet of ascending including a short 9%)), I was giddy as a school girl. Honestly, it is like a new bike!

incredible how much easier it is to ride when all the bearing spin freely!
