Sounds a good idea to start my riding in IL. Be nice to ride someplace flat after seven years of lugging around the DC area hills!

Nice! I am looking forward to riding with all you.
I am so tired of riding in wet & iced roads.
I was riding on 700x40 stubbed tires with 30psi in the snow. It's fun but a lot of work
I'm now back to my 700x35 tires but looks like snow tomorrow so I might put the studs back on.

    Come On Spring!

Maybe somebody who knows the starting point should set up a meeting place there for RBR people. Nobody has to ride in a group just to put faces with names?

With my fitness level at this point, I'm pretty sure I could do 25 miles in 3 hours. Other plans with the kayaking world that weekend, but it sounds like fun.

Will a truck with a snow plow be in front of us so the street will be free of that ugly stuff?

Okay, with a whole 22 miles in my legs this year, am going to arrange to get up early on a Sunday and see if I can remember how to do this bike riding thing.

Parking at the start - what's the score? I have the route to Cuba Marsh Forest Preserve, and it looks like there's a parking lot south side of Cuba Road - is that it?

    Fingers crossed it doesn't rain/snow/etc

    Regards

It will either be a Gunnar Roadhound in Pearl Blue Metallic if its dry,
or a Soma Double Cross in Slick Black and Silver Fenders if it's wet.

either way I'll be there, could be any worse than today commute.

Tomorrows Forecast- Mostly cloudy with a 20 percent chance of showers. Highs in the upper 40s...except in the lower 40s near the lake. North winds 10 to 15 mph. Gusts up to 30 mph in the late morning and afternoon.

Is That All. After this weeks Commute tomorrow will be a like a Day Off.

We will start Riding at 9am with temps in the Upper30's and lower 40's before we're done.

So Dress warm, If you keep your Core warm you'll be fine a Nice pair of Wool socks will help keep the Toes Warm.

    Couple of Safety Tips
Stop At All Red Traffic Lights.
Use Caution at Stop Signs. If there is Cars at Intersection use the Right of Way Rule.
Call Out When Passing. "ON YOUR RIGHT"
    Call Out Cars in Back.
Notify Riders behind you of Road Debris or Pot Holes.
Single File is Best on less we are in Residential Neighborhoods.
