Thanks for posting OJ. Another sad tragedy. Accidents happen in Cambridge a lot or at least it seems that way to me. And Mass Ave can get pretty hectic.

Not a bad idea to brush up on the basics of riding in traffic.
I ride mostly in the honorable pursuit of being kissed on both cheeks at the same time by one blond and one brunette. But not redheads, they scare me.

I don't mind riding in the dark, and am generally OK about riding in the rain, but dark and rain? Nope- makes me really anxious. I actually look at that intersection as one of the better ones- the part of MAss Ave that's always been the worst for me is in North Cambridge.

Just a sad reminder of the need to always expect the unexpected.

Really sad for everybody. Cambridge tries to be a cycling-friendly city, but we still owe it to ourselves and others to be extra careful, be it while riding a bicycle, walking, or operating a motor vehicle.

There's an article in today's Globe on the Mass. Ave/Vassar St. intersection- and the accident stats are pretty scary...

Mass ave in general is pretty scary. With the BU bridge still plain frightening, that doesn't leave many options for crossing the river on a bike. So I shall continue to restrict my life to parts north of it.

I don't commute to work via bike, but even for weekend rides I get nervous when the roads start to get to crowded with cars.

Exclamation Damn ... Another cyclist gone.

The last year and half has been crazy with all the cyclist accidents and deaths. I sure hope this coming riding season doesn't have as many.
