I think my Garmin 500 temp is at least 5* too warm. But still, it was hot. I went out at 730 and got home before the real heat.

Way hot today too. My Garmin is about 7 degrees higher but it read 101.7 on my way home this morning. Hopefully cooler tomorrow. Mid-80's will feel like a cold wave.

This has been one of the worst summers ever for riding. We either have torrential rain (most of June) or blazing heat and humidity. I've been trying to ride before work this week to avoid the heat but even then the humidity is a killer. Not much you can do other than suffer through it

It's funny, but for some reason, riding in this heat doesn't bother me too much. Rode in NJ on Tues./Thurs./Sat. this week. OK as long as I'm moving and drinking lots of water, but is sucks when it comes time to stop. I think computers, etc. exaggerate the temperature to a certain extent because they have dark cases which will absorb some sunlight. Or at least mine does.

It is what it is. Take it or leave it.
I rode all last week in the heatwave to complete the Strava elevation challenge. The heat certainly didn't make it any easier but that's just life.
My other chainring is a 39...

I've gotten out almost every day. 26 times in June and 22 times so far in July. Average of about 44 miles per ride. But I go out in the morning and am usually done by noon. And I try to do roads that offer lots of shade. Nevertheless, I'm drenched when I get home.
