    Dogma 60.1 Help

    Hi-
I just bought a Dogma on EBay and have a quick question. I read all the information you have on how to spot a fake but I never saw anything about this. My Dogma does not say 60.1 on the downtube. I have seen some with the writing and some without. The seller assured me its genuine but I am a skeptic. It came with the genuine cap, seatpost collar, 4 rivet front derailluer braze on, serial number and cable guide. Was this just something that Pinarello did for a certain model year or do I have a really good Chinarello?
    Thanks in advance.

    Sounds suspicious!
I'm sure they all said "60.1" on the downtube and seat tube.
Maybe post a few pics eh? What was the auction number?

Oh crap! It says it everywhere else except the downtube. I don't have any pics but here is a link to the listing

Why don't you look at the serial number?

After looking at the auction, the frame looks okay to me

Re serials, I tried selling my 60.1 and all I got was a bunch of requests for "pictures of the serial number".

    Is that good or bad?
Providing the serial number gives the buyer a chance to validate the number before purchase.

It might also provide a dishonest person a picture of a valid number for selling a fake in the future.

I think it's fair to ask for the serial number. It's unfortunate that there are so many fakes that are being sold as real ones. To make matters worse this whole language issue (OEM, genuine, Authentic), its hard to know what is what.

Wow, given what you just paid I think the offer to pick up my LBS owners 60.1 frame with the handle bars, stem and seat at $1000 is a steal, I may go drop off that cash to him tomorrow!!

The Dogma you bought is genuine. The first year Dogma 60.1 had the "60.1" writing on the downtube. The 2nd year Dogmas did not have it. I've had the 2nd year Dogma and the markings are the same as on the ebay pics you provided.
