Hillary's Emails - It Just Got a Lot Worse

Uh - oh. The seemingly daily digging into the Clinton private server hole appears to be be making the hole both deeper and wider. Clinton continues to maintain that the emails were not classified as classified at the time the emails were sent but that is not her or the State Department's call. And the "special access programs" are highly classified. Clinton was also found to be instructing other personnel on how to remove classified labels from emails prior to sending.

The secret information on former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s personal email was more highly classified than previously understood, according to the intelligence community’s internal watchdog. In a letter to Capitol Hill obtained by The Hill, Intelligence Community Inspector General I. Charles McCullough III wrote that Clinton had highly classified information known as “special access programs” (SAP) on her private server.

“To date, I have received two sworn declarations from one [intelligence community] element,” the watchdog told lawmakers in Congress, Fox reported. “These declarations cover several dozen emails containing classified information determined by the IC element to be at the CONFIDENTIAL, SECRET, and TOP SECRET/SAP levels.
More than 1,300 emails released by the State Department have been classified, though department officials insist that none of the information was classified at the time the emails were sent. The spy agency watchdog had previously claimed that Clinton also had two emails with “top secret” information on the server.

However, SAP information is above and beyond that, and is used to restrict information on a “need-to-know” basis. A 2009 executive order signed by President Obama claims that the designation can only be used for when the threat to a program’s information is “exceptional” and the number of people who need access is “reasonably small.”

    This is the smoking gun:

A letter sent on Jan. 14 from Intelligence Community Inspector General I. Charles McCullough III contains the smoking gun in the scandal involving Hillary Clinton’s ongoing email scandal. The letter reveals Clinton had material from the U.S. government’s most secretive and highly classified programs, according to a new report from FOX News.

McCullough’s letter outlines the conclusions drawn from a recent review PPD learned of and reported on back in December. But, the recent report claims that review also found specific intelligence known as “special access programs” (SAP). The SAP designation is on a level of classification beyond “top secret.”

“To date, I have received two sworn declarations from one [intelligence community] element. These declarations cover several dozen emails containing classified information determined by the IC element to be at the confidential, secret, and top secret/sap levels,” said the IG letter to lawmakers with oversight of the intelligence community and State Department. “According to the declarant, these documents contain information derived from classified IC element sources.”

Hillary is going to get indicted. You can see the signs from the administration. A review of a reduction in rank for Gen Petraeus is under consideration and will likely be awarded as part of his punishment for mishandling classified material. Until now, all he ended up with was a misdemeanor and probation. Now it's going to cost him money. This opens up the prosecution of Hillary without appearing to have a double standard.

Maybe a Trump administration. I just can't see the Obama Justice Department going through with such an indictment.

Like all other Hillary email stories, the AM999s of the world will make a lot of hay and the Dem voters will shrug.

More on that from the Washington Post. The potential reduction in rank of Gen Petraeus is a signal from the military that Hillary should be given the same consideration. Hillary must realize now that this is not going away. The letter in the OP was written not by a right wind pundit but by an inspector in the Obama administration. She had best spin up her legal staff - this is a game changer.

Second, there is the FBI to worry about. It is interesting that suddenly news is breaking that the military “is considering retroactively demoting retired Gen. David Petraeus after he admitted to giving classified information to his biographer and mistress while he was still in uniform.” Perhaps this has nothing to do with Clinton, or perhaps the military is making a statement: If you go after one of ours, why does Hillary Clinton, who potentially mishandled reams of classified documents, get a pass? Even without the military underscoring the seriousness of rules regarding classified materials, the FBI is, by all accounts, continuing its methodical investigation. It is the one entity Clinton cannot spin or muscle. And today things took a more ominous turn according to a Fox News report:

Hillary Clinton’s emails on her unsecured, homebrew server contained intelligence from the U.S. government’s most secretive and highly classified programs, according to an unclassified letter from a top inspector general to senior lawmakers. . . . [The letter] laid out the findings of a recent comprehensive review by intelligence agencies that identified “several dozen” additional classified emails — including specific intelligence known as “special access programs’ (SAP).” That indicates a level of classification beyond even ‘top secret,’ the label previously given to two emails found on her server, and brings even more scrutiny to the presidential candidate’s handling of the government’s closely held secrets.

If true, Clinton may not slip the noose on this scandal.

Clinton’s worst nightmare is a legal one, but a political fiasco ensues if she once again loses Iowa. Her last debate performance did not help her, but maybe her ground game will pull her over the finish line. If not, all hell breaks out in the Democratic Party primary.

Do you think that Hillary has broken the law and that the Obama administration will do nothing about it? Or do you think that that no rules have been broken?

NBC is Fake news ?? Who knew ??

Emails from Hillary Clinton's home server contained information classified at levels higher than previously known, including a level meant to protect some of the most sensitive U.S. intelligence, according to a document obtained by NBC News.
Charles McCulllough, the intelligence community's inspector general, said in a letter to the chairmen of the Senate intelligence and foreign affairs committees that he has received sworn declarations from an intelligence agency he declined to name.

The declarations cover "several dozen emails containing classified information determined by the IC element to be at the CONFIDENTIAL, SECRET and TOP SECRET/SAP information."

An intelligence official familiar with the matter told NBC News that the special access program in question was so sensitive that McCullough and some of his aides had to receive clearance to be read in on it before viewing the sworn declaration about the Clinton emails.

The OHM Hillary letter doesn't make clear whether Clinton sent or received the emails in question, but in the past, emails containing classified information have tended to have been sent to Clinton, not written by her.

In other words it appears she did not send this classified material to anyone who had or did not have appropriate clearance.

    Yawn.

Yes, all the other stuff is (should be) nails in the coffin. The unknown is the Obama DOJ. Loretta Lynch has a good record but she recently stated that Gitmo is a very significant ISIS recruiting issue, so who knows whether the DOJ will indict.

The numbers say otherwise and now that Trump's been endorsed by Palin we can all sit back and watch the twits hit the fan.

She's right. GITMO is a terrible example America is setting: indefinite imprisonment above rule of law, hence as bad as ISIL, when you think about it. Anyone imprisoned will certainly be radicalized against the US, obviously.

Also, intelligence security is much more important in military situations than it is in State Dept. situations. State Dept. communications have much less value to "the enemy" than military intelligence. So comparing Petraeus to Clinton is apples and oranges.

Keep trying, boys. You'll get her on something! Just keep your noses clean!

Here's a discussion on Gitmo. Gitmo is very rarely mentioned if at all in AQ, ISIS, etc recruiting propaganda.

Pablum for the faithful paranoiacs. The King of Jordan makes an interesting point about the "global reach" of jihadists, but he too fails to put them in context. The population of Indonesia is huge and they've been struggling for survival since Sukarno flirted with communists back in the 60s. We shouldn't be surprised there are groups there with serious grievances.

GITMO may not be mentioned in current ISIL propaganda, but it still symbolizes the US unfavorably in the world community as a violator of rule of law and international respect.

There's also no damn reason whatsoever the 90 or so prisoners can't be transferred to federal prisons in the US. The fear blocking that move is totally irrational, same as imagining all the terrorists coming across the Mexican border intent on rape and pillage. Krauthammer is consistently one of the most pessimistic, negative commentators on TV. He's always wagging his finer at this or that outrage. GITMO could easily be closed if not for the small minded idiots he and his commentary encourages.

Obama was right. Calling the fight against ISIL WW3 plays right into their agenda. It gives them political power they'll never have. They're a bunch of punks in stolen Toyota pickup trucks. In 10 years they'll be gone, morphed into other splinter quasi-religious discontents who will be fighting the modern world. They're not all that different than the clucking guys in this video. Obama gets it, but these Fox voices don't.
