    TdF Average Power Numbers

Watching a few stages on NBC and every so often they show the average wattage of the break compared to the peloton. Anyone know how they are coming up with the values? Do they have certain riders they monitor or do they have data on every rider? Some other way? Just curious...

Of course, but I doubt that they all have telemetry, and very few teams are willing to share rider data. There is probably some contractual/advertising agreement under which a few riders, under limited circumstances, share power data with the general public during the race. Some riders post data post-race. Google TDF and power for info.
I got six Cadillacs, five Lincolns, four Fords, six Mercuries, three T-Birds, and a Mustang.

I heard somewhere that UCI (or TDF?) disallowed real-time telemetry. Not sure if this is fact or not.

Yeah, i just read an article somewhere that Sky was unwilling to share Froome's data from the past couple stages, with regards to how much shi!t they thought it'd stir up re: not accurately interpreting the data -> doping allegations. A pretty interesting read; it delves into the idea that doping can be examined not via testing & passports but from another direction - data.
