    Stars and Watercarriers

Here's a link to the great old film "Stars and Watercarriers", which you may have seen: Stars and Watercarriers - YouTube

    Enjoy.
There is NO rehearsal - this is the real thing.

Thanks... yeah there are some real classics hiding on the tubes - "A Sunday in Hell" is there also. Yep - the full feature length 93 minutes, in one video.

I recently bought a Jørgen Leth DVD box called The Sports Films (Sportsfilmerne). In it is
    A Sunday In Hell
    Stars and Watercarriers
    The Impossible Hour

and som other sports documentaries. Price was worth every øre. Here: Edition Filmmuseum Shop - Jrgen Leth 2: Sportfilme Danish Film Classics
They do anything just to win a salami in ridiculous races. I take my gear out of the car and put my bike together. Tourists and locals are watching from sidewalk cafes. Non-racers. The emptiness of those lives shocks me. It was the illest of times, it was the dopest of times. And we looked damn good. Actually the autobus broke down somewhere on the Mortirolo.

...especially if you like the sound of bagpipes and pre-oboes!

The soundtrack is just one of many brilliant things about that film.
