Tony Martin hit by a car on a training ride

    http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/tony...ining-accident

I think somebody has placed a hit on Quick Step's GC ambitions. This is ridiculous.
I like when you get to that point and I donít know if itís the endorphins kicking in or what, but you realize youíre so far from where you started, that youíre finally really somewhere else, a completely different place.

I suspect hit men driving around Europe, hired by the other teams bitter from QS's classics domination. . take out Leipheimer and Martin and ensure that QS's good season ends before all of the big stage races.

This sucks. I hope he heals quickly.

too bad, I really like Tony. He TTs like a demon but what I really love is when he is assigned to either pulling something back or winding up the peloton

So you think maybe some were concerned enough that Leipheimer wasn't doing a good enough job taking himself out that "hit men" were hired to speed up the process?

What a shame. Martin is a Monster - one of my absolute favourite riders.

I read several accounts- nothing on what happened (if anything) to the person who hit Martin.
Quick-Step FINALLY has a team worthy of contending GC's and two of it's new 4 hot-shots get hit? WTF??
The Velits brothers better keep a sharp eye out.
