    Hammer HEED expiration/best by date

I just picked up a 5 lb tub of HEED from Amazon.com. I tried a single pack and really liked it so I went all in. Anyway, I was looking for the expiration or best by date but couldn't find it. The only date stamped on this tub read "MFG 16 Jul 2012 08:06" which I assume is when the batch was made. Anyone out there have any idea what the shelf life is for HEED? I got a couple of other drink mixes I need to finish up and wanted to see how much time I have with the HEED. And before I start getting response about best by dates and past expiration freshness, I'm probably going to use it even when it "expires" but I wanted to know a general time frame for effectiveness. Thanks guys!

Why do some of your products now list both a "Manufacture" date and a "Best by" date? | Hammer Nutrition

    It's just sugar.

The shelf life of sugar is typically a decade or more. There's not much to spoil. Most likely problem is that the stuff will clump and not dissolve as quickly as specified.

There is no simple sugar in Hammer Heed .

    Good Morning,
I have a jug of CYTOMAX, the date is Best by 5/2014, very difficult to keep mixed.
Maybe the Tangy Orange one is difficult to mix?
The Hammer items I used in the past mixed very good. I didn't look at the date.

Years if kept dry and clean. No problem.

That is correct. However from a shelf-life standpoint it doesn't make any difference if it is glucose, sucrose, fructose, maltodextrin, etc. They all behave the same.
