Realaxiom Traveltrac Trainers?
Anyone use one of these, the ones that Nashbar sells?
How well do they work? Are they compatible with the newer Elite brand course DVD's, or do you have to purchase an upgrade?
And can you program in courses manually, like on a Computrainer??
Broken Legs Suck
I have one that i bought a couple of years ago and i think it's great. For me, it makes riding the trainer almost fun. There is lots of data to look at while riding a course. Speed, current power, average power, distance, heartrate (need a transmitter). As you probably know, the resistance changes with the topography of the course. It's not perfect, but it beats staring at the wall.
As far as i know the Elite brand course DVD's should work without an upgrade. I've got about 7 or 8 different courses. My favorites are the Vassivierre I and II and Imperial San remo. Also, you can create courses, but i haven't used that feature.
Overall, i think it is well worth the money.
