Want a road bike for summer --> looking into older road bikes

I'm looking to get a road bike to use for exercise (I do cross country running in the fall) and so I don't have to drive everywhere. I'm not looking to spend a fortune and while I want a decent road bike it doesn't have to be top of the line. For this reason older road bikes have peaked my interest because of their price (also cause it'd be cool to have a unique bike). Can you guys recommend which to buy? Or perhaps give advice on what I should be looking for?
I've found a couple on Craigs list -

    http://providence.craigslist.org/bik/665072758.html - Fuji 10 speed, unknown year
    http://providence.craigslist.org/bik/689293220.html - 1968 Bottecchia 10 speed
http://providence.craigslist.org/bik/715152817.html - Gitane Champion 12 speed, unknown year
    http://providence.craigslist.org/bik/715157615.html - Trek 12 speed model 022, unknown year

I am 5' 7" so I think most of these would be fine except maybe the Bottecchia? I don't know tell me if I'm wrong.

You are correct..the Bottecchia would be too big for you..

The other 3 look like they'd fit and are decent bikes...The Gitane is my favorite but I like French bikes..

No, they appear to be low end.

What about the trek? How does it compare to the Gitane?

Cool The Gitane is the one that's going to fit.

While I'm not familiar with that model, it looks like a nice bike. At 5' 7", the Trek is also going to be too big for you, unless you're very long legged. If it was one size smaller, it would have been my pick. Fuji is a great brand, but that one is from the bottom of the Fuji barrel. OTOH, if the bike is going to be locked in places where theft is running rampant, this Fuji becomes more attractive..... The Bottechia has Simplex dropouts, and the less said about these, the better. Next!

Wow, I didn't even see those. Thanks! I've never heard of concords tho.

I've heard old Schwinns are good bikes, does this look like a good one? http://providence.craigslist.org/bik/695450014.html
