My wife's cousin Melinda came up from So Cal to race, so we got up at oh-dark-hundred to cheer her on. She DNF'd but had a blast anyway.

I read somewhere that the grade on Fillmore is 22%. I'm not sure if that number is correct, but from the looks of it, I can definitely say that it's damn steep. This is the first of nine laps up this hill. Ouch.
