I purchased the Shimano 9000 groupset and had my local bikeshop install. They call saying there was some issue with the shifting of the front derailer. I didnt understand the whole story as I didnt look at it. They say they need to contact Shimano on Monday. Anyone heard of bottom bracket front derailer shifting issues?
The mechanic said it was something about the alignment of the bottom bracket and front derailer. I dont think they have installed many (maybe none) 9000. Definately not on a Colnago.
there are 2 different way to attach the cable to the front derailleur depending on the angle at which the cable comes up the anchor bolt. if they don't know about this, they're not paying attention.
I had a problem putting Campy EPS on my Colnago EPS (no pun).
The front derailleur could not be rotated clockwise (when looking down at it) enough. I had to use a dremel tool to grind down the derailleur clamp and enlarge the slot a little bit to make it work.
I also have an extreme power, and that does not have the same problem.
