    Vegas 6/24-6/28

I'm going to be in town for a work convention the dates listed. I'm wondering if any locals would like to drag me along for something scenic say 25-35 miles.

I'd also be interested in rental info, other than McGhie's, I can/will bring my own pedals.

I'd only most likely ride once as that it will be my first time in Vegas so I'm sure I'll be experiencing other parts of Las Vegas, oh yea and all the educational stuff for my conference as well.

    Thanks in advance.

If you'd like to do something truly epic, head up to Mt Charleston & climb it. I'm not the Vegas nightlife kind of guy so I flew a bike out with me a couple of weeks ago while out for work and rode that, the Red Rock Canyon loop, & the roads around RR Canyon. It's truly beautiful, but be prepared for the wind! I hear the riding near Lake Mead is good also, but I really wanted to experience elevation gains.

If you get a chance, Posh Burger Bistro in Summerlin (Wild Boar Burger) & Burgr by Gordon Ramsay in Planet Hollywood (Euro Burger) are both fantastic and worth the gourmet burger pricing. I love burgers but don't eat bread or simple carbs anymore and both places were awesome protein style....something few places pull off well with a burger.

I second this. The owners of this shop are really great folks, nice selection, superior service. The guys at McGhie's were also nice enough, but Procyclery was much more down to earth.

If you are going to rent, I personally think BrokenSpoke has the best rentals. Alum/Carbon and even Di2 for cheap. Plus, they do group weekend rides out of their shop. I haven't bought a bike here but the owner is very nice.
