    I love it when "Don't ask how I know" is added to a piece of advice.

    I recall a while back that BruceW stated something like (and I'm paraphrasing) "make sure the rear rack supports reach far enough back, or the panniers may interfere with the rear spokes. Don't ask me how I know."

    I can only imagine philippec's frustration upon realizing that his clever trick let him down!

    Looks like tons of fun, read through it all. It must take some getting used to, riding a bike with someone especially for so long. Would definitely be an experience!

    Terrific ride report, thanks for posting.

    Hopefully this was a first-time effort at going all-in on the GPS, and they've learned their lesson and will adapt.

    We went on a first-time-on-the-route tour with Trek Travel, and it was an experience. Really just minor quirks to the scheduling; people who'd never been with them wouldn't have expected anything different, but with prior experience it was a 'less than.'

    Those tandem-boat tours that Santana puts on have always looked interesting. Maybe when the dollar recovers a bit.
    A good habit is as hard to break as a bad one..
