    Any good routes near Canton?

My wife wants to go to Canton for the flea market next month and I've had my fill of that kind of stuff. Are there any routes in the surrounding area that would be good to head out for most of the day? Road or dirt it doesn't matter. What about a Tyler and back route?

I've never ridden, just driven that area. Roads tend to be state highways, undivided 2-lane, speed limits 60+mph, no shoulder to speak of - maybe a 1-foot wide strip of pavement beyond the lane marking, and tall weeds adjacent. Not great for solo riding.

I would suggest you contact these guys in Tyler for information about riding in the area. They have regular weekly rides, and welcome visitors.

After looking at the roads between Canton and Tyler I think I agree with your assessment. Looks like I will be driving to Tyler to ride. Thanks!
