    650 Aero Wheel Recommendation

    Hi Guy:

I'm getting a new aero bike that uses 650c wheels. I've been using Hed Ardennes SL on my road bike and have been extremely pleased with their handling characteristics. I would like to remain with a wide rim. So far, I have only seen Zipp and Hed offer 650c aero wheels with a wide rim width. In all honesty, I haven't seen many 650c wheels period. Apart from the Hed Jet 6 and the Zipp 404 Firecrest, what else is out there?

    Thanks,
    CHL

I keep a handful of 650c Kinlin XR300s on hand, but don't sell very many. I wonder if their slightly deeper profile (30mm) compensates for their standard 19mm width. They're not Zipps, but then again, you could build up a set on premium hubs (Alchemy, Chris King, etc) for about half the price of a rear Zipp 404.
