Converting my mountain bike to road bike, tire wise.

Hello, I have a Northrock XC6 mountain bike with disk brakes.
It is 18" frame size and current tire size is 26 X 49/52

I want to change the tires to something more skinny and stumbled upon this:

Amazon.com: Vittoria Rubino Pro III Fold Tire: Sports & Outdoors

    it is 700x23 size.

    Will it fit?

No - you'll need something along the lines of 26 x 1 or 26 x 1 1/8. the key point being 26 as that is your rim diameter.

Not even close to fitting. Your bike has 26" rims (559 etrto) and those are road tires which at equivalent to roughly 29" or 700 etrto size rims.

Goolge 26" mtb slicks for some help. You are looking for a 26" tire around 1.5 width but not sure of your rim width.

Ditto. You need 26" tyres. I'm running Kenda "Quick Rollers" on my old hard tail which I use as a spare road training bike. Tyres inflate to 80psi and have a kevlar strip to prevent punctures.
