Need 25mm tires for bike with tight clearances

    Hi
My Ridley Helium takes a 25mm tire with a max rim width of 28mm. With wider rims (17mm internal, 23mm internal), a Conti 4000s 25mm is too big under the fork. Any suggestions for decent true to size clincher tires? if not, will move to 23mm Conti 4000s which actually measure 24.7mm on my current wheels. Thanks

I would stick with the 23mm conti up front since it looks like that tire may already maximize the space available, then I would run a 25 in the rear if it fits.

Interestingly, same tire and a rim with identical dims fit in the stock fork on my older Ridley Gladius frame with about 3mm clearance.

I had a friend who could run 25 wide tires on narrow rims, or 23 wide tires on wider rims. He said he preferred the wide rim and narrow tire combo best.

Thanks for the replies. The chain stay clearance is a little better for 25mm Continentals but still tight. Will just use 23mm Conti 4000s
