New Mavic Ksyrium Pro Carbon clinchers...Rim tape?

I have a set of these wheels on the way...Do I need to install rim tape on them before use?

    Thanks

Do they have spoke holes? If yes, then yes.

Rim tape, or VeloPlugs. Choose one.

It isn't likely that they'll come with rim-tape, although maybe your seller is really really nice. Ask em if in doubt.

Do not use Velo plugs on these rims, regardless if you plan on tubeless or not. They do come with UST rim tape provided by Mavic.

With bicycles in particular, you need to separate between what's merely true and what's important.

Isn't 'UST rim tape' an oxymoron?

There seems to be a change of heart at Mavic. The last attribute of UST is airtight; either by tape or by hole-less rim inner bed. So UST valve, UST tape, UST rim, UST tire and UST licensed shape to other companies to use "UST".
