I'm currenty looking for some new winter tyres for my commuter. I have been running Spesh Roubaix Elites for the last year or so without a single pu****re. And while they're light and durable, they're only 25c, so I'm having to run them quite hard on my commuter with a rack fitted.

I ride about 10 miles each way, and I often take a long way home and turn my commute home into a training ride so I don't really want to load up with some 700g+ city tyres. Though I do need them to be fairly durable.

After some research, I have come up with:

Schwalbe Marathon Racer
  • 370g
  • 30c
  • Reflective sidewall
  • 67 tpi

Vittoria Randonneur Hyper.
  • 350g
  • 32c
  • Reflective sidewall
  • 120 tpi

Does anyone have any experience of these?

Thanks, Matt.
