Greetings all:

I'm planning my Spring season and I plan to race a local road race call the Ronde Von Palouse in April. It's a 23 mile course with a 4 mile gravel section. Here are some pictures:

I'm thinking that my 23c Michelin PR3s are a little under-tired and I'm considering a 25c tire.

I weigh about 160. All opinions and advice appreciated. Thanks, Steve.

Vittoria Pave pave is well worth consideration IMO. They are 24mm.

I use them in the spring and fall when there's a lot of crap in the roads and they hold up well. I think next year I'll just use them all year because although they are pretty tough (by performance tire standards) I wouldn't hesitate to use them in a race that's on nothing but nice tar. I don't make it a habit of riding on gravel but a few of my group rides pass though some dirt roads briefly and I haven't had any problems there.
