Fit / Knee - Foot Alignment Question

I just noticed that when I'm on the bike pedaling and look down, my feet and knees don't line up. My feet are closer to the bike, and my knees are farther out.

This actually seems like it would be normal, and I don't feel any problems, but does anyone else notice the same thing, or know if my feet should be wider apart? (not like that could physically happen unless I used pedal extenders...)
    Thanks for the help!

I'm a big believer in the Specialized Body Geometry Fit system. More info here:

Don't look down??? Seriously I have seen all kinds of riders with different styles. Knees in, knees out and in between. I have heard of pedal extenders but do not think most people need them for a good fit.

    Probably normal for you

If it works, it's probably okay. Do you walk with your feet straight ahead, or slightly pigeon-toed? I'm a duckfoot (walk toes-out), and on the bike my alignment is the opposite of yours -- knees in. In fact, my right leg usually brushes the toptube slightly. That seems to be the geometry of my legs.
