Boy oh boy I think these are cool!

Not just for what they are, how they look and how they feel. But because of what they become.

    OK, I love nice stuff

and just saw in Mountain Bike Action (don't throw tomatoes at me, I ride a road bike too) how CK compresses their milled aluminum chips into pucks for recycling, even recycles the oil from the plant... and I can't deny I've never had a CK fail me. But I've also paid $25 for a headset that lasted 12K+ mountain miles without a whimper (first gen FSA). Come to think of it, I've never had a headset failure ever, even the pop-in integrated bearings that CK rails against. So Chris Kings ate utterly cool to me, and I could afford to put one on every bike that comes my way, but I'd rather spend my that extra $50-80 on some other bike bit. Or just do without the "me too" logo.

If I could get one without the logo, I'd do it. But since I can't, I'll overlook it in favor of that deep, lusterous greeeeeeen.

I don't get too jazzed about many bike parts, but if I was feeling really profligate I'd buy on of these in every color and put them on my mantel.

Yeah, that's ok....for a green headset. If you wanna see hot, though, all you gotta do is lay your eyes on this....

    Talking

Tires, saddles, bar tape, coffee and headsets were all meant to be black!
For my next trick I will now set myself on fire!

If you don't like the screaming logos, go with silver, you can barely see the CK all over it.

What's the name for a modern version of a Retro Grouch?

    Is it Metro Grouch?

    Green headset? Green headset.......?

I can't picture a frame that that headset color would enhance.

But then I've never seen a green frame that "moved" me to anything other than the bathroom.

    It's called a "bicycle seed."

You plant one in the headtube of a frame and it grows into a complete bicycle.

Of a pearl orange cx bike with a green ck headset, and matching green ck hubs, salsa skewers, oh and matching anodized green Pauls.
    Plus matching green tri dangles.
Green headsets are gorgeous, very nice on Ti frames too.

My green Kirk doesn't send you in search of porcelain does it?

Not that I would ever put something so green as that CK on that bike.

    Terry,

It's never too early to start Wayne. Don't wait until you're old like I am, you'll end up shriveled and bitter.
