Small marks/dents on aluminum frame chainstay
Looks like 2 small dents on a brand new aluminum frame chainstay. Does it look like the areas were hit or could it be a manufacturing defect. Can that lead to a failure down the line?

Ive held off riding the bike becauae of these. Gonna bring it to the shop later. Is this a big issue?

    Thanks

In your first picture "20190831_235002" it looks like a big gouge is also in the RD cable housing? Sure looks like something impacted into the chain stay.

    Take it back.

Too small to even bother with, and not a safety issue.

Agree, probably worth having someone take a good look at it.

Shop manager looked at it and said they'll see what they can do for me. They took pics and will be sending to the manufacturer and said I might need to drop it off one day when the manufacturer is in. Said for the time being just ride it and dont worry about safety. It's safe.

The shop has been good to me so I'll just see what happens I guess.
