    Wilier Izoard XP

Anyone with experiance on the Wilier Izoard XP? I've looked for reviews, but I'm coming up a little short. I understand the 2011 added some weight with some frame changes. I was wondering how the ride is and if it's reasonable to build a 16 lb bike with this frame. Thanks!

Even starting with the Rival build from Competitive you should have no trouble building a sub 16lb. bike. You could likely do it with nothing but a new set of wheels/tubes/tire.

Every review I have seen has been positive, even for the newer one which, as you said, has a slightly lower end carbon weave and an alloy steerer.

In the link above, several people have mentioned the Rival build coming in at 19lbs. Ouch! Will be hard, and expensive, to get that down to the 16 lb range. The advertised frame and fork weight must not be correct.

I thinks willier full with Italian emotion which costs you $700 extra, in Europe there are many German standard bikes who delivers more for the same price.

These bikes are in most cases lighter than the izoard.
