    Chains

I need a new chain for my Athena drivetrain. I know campy has a new non-series 11 speed chain that is about $10 less than the Chorus that Athena was designed to use. Is there a notable difference? Has anyone used the non-series Campagnolo chain?

I use whatever Campagnolo chains are cheapest and on sale and have never had problems.

How dare you to even suggest use of out of series Campy components. Tullio would roll over in his grave. You might as well just surrender your Campy drivetrain now and replace it with Shimano.

To be fair, Athena was never gifted its own chain or cassette. Instead it was forced to borrow from Chorus, but along came potenza and suddenly campy has a chain and cassette for a group lower than Chorus.

I ordered the new non-series chain. I assume that campy is pushing the 12 speed gear and only making one 11 speed chain for all older groups.
